London Weekend Theatre Breaks

London Weekend Theatre Breaks

A weekend theatre break gets you away from all the mundane jobs that bore you though the week and can give you a good old fashioned wind down and recharge those batteries.

This is my favourite pastime, when I get the time.

You can get to London reasonably easy, weather it is by car or train or if you have the money fly.

I think the problem is why most people outside of London don't visit the capital is because they do not no where to stay or what show or attraction to see. This is why checking places to stay and getting pre booked for shows etc is now so easy when using online websites.

When I visit London I always book my hotel just outside the centre, you can find a lot of top quality hotels at greatly reduced prices just outside the main areas. Getting access to the centre of London is so easy, take the tube or what I do is just hale a taxi and then get dropped off exactly where I want to go. If you want to watch a show you have many to choose from, with over 46 west end theatres alone. As for top quality restaurants there are plenty, but can be pricey. I tend to eat outside of these areas; I have found a nice little Italian restaurant just outside Chinatown which has a fantastic choice of great food. As you walk around London you'll also be able to find quaint little restraints and bars to grab a meal at a decent price.

As for shows well, there are many from musicals to drama the price of some tickets can be quite expensive from £30.00 upwards, if you wanted to you can book a meal and a show at discounted prices.

If you are looking for a discount on london weekend theatre breaks then you are in the right place.

I must admit when I visit london this is what I do, first of all I look online to find a quality hotel just for Saturday night, then book tickets for show that I want to go and see, just staying the one night in london can reduce costs immensely. So I dive down Saturday morning this normally takes me about 4 hours, when I get to london I park up either in the hotel car park or a designated car park, parking your car can be very expensive so check out the cost of trains to the capital as well. I then spend the rest of the day visiting the attraction that london has to offer, Visiting Madame Tussaud's is extremely good and the change things around regularly or maybe check out the london eye. A good experience is to have a river Thames lunch cruise and just let the afternoon go by.

Later on in the day I go back to the hotel to freshen up and get ready to go out and watch a show.

The following day I normally just take a walk around london and see some more attractions before starting to make my way home. It is surprising how much of london that you can take in such a short time.
